Brian Hall D.V.M.
Diplomate, American Board of Veterinary Practitioners
Brian Hall is a 1968 graduate of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University and a 1971 graduate of the New York State Veterinary College at Cornell. In
1982 he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners with a specialty in Canine and Feline Practice. He has subsequently re-certified in 1992 and 2002. In 1980 Brian and his wife, Jean, started Fairport Animal Hospital with Jean taking care of the business aspects of the practice and Brian concentrating on medicine. His areas of interest include surgery, cardiology and avian and exotic medicine. They have one son, David, who is an architect in Arlington, Virginia. Jean and Brian live on a small farm in Victor with several horses, chickens, three goats, three dogs and two African Grey Parrots. When not at the hospital or working on the farm, Brian enjoys boating and his 1971 Olds convertible.
Margaret Zarouba D.V.M.
Margaret Zarouba is a native Long Islander who received her degree in Veterinary Science from Ross University. Her main focus of practice is on small animal medicine and general health care. Margaret also has considerable interest in dermatology, ears, and behavioral issues.
Client education is a priority with Dr. Zarouba. Helping people understand the causes, progression and outcome of their pet’s illnesses is very important to her. “Pets are part of the family and we want them to be as comfortable as possible.” She strives to provide the most optimal care that fits both the owner and their pet and enjoys following her patients’ progress. In her spare time, Margaret is an avid movie buff but also enjoys the theater, and whenever possible, hiking.
John Speciale D.V.M.

Dr. Speciale received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 1972. He has done Post-Graduate work in Belgium as well as completing a residency in clinical neurology at the University of Pennsylvania. He has held Academic Appointments at the University of Rochester as well as the University of Pennsylvania in either clinical studies, clinical neurology or neuroendocrinology. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners with a specialty in companion animal practice in 1984 and has recertified in 1992 and 2002. In 1994 he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Internal Medicine with a specialty in neurology. He was owner and director of East Ridge Animal Hospital for 11 years before pursuing his interest in neurology. He has been a private consultant for many hospitals in New York and Pennsylvania. He was the staff neurologist at Veterinary Specialists of Rochester for many years and is now enjoying his private neurology referral practice. He is well published and also a member of many professional societies including: American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, New York State Veterinary Medical Association and the Genesee Valley Veterinary Medical Association. He is passionate about his work and is currently involved in several research activities
