Ultrasound is another tool
used in diagnosing and
following a patient’s
condition. It allows us to
examine internal organs and
organ functions in a
non-invasive way.
We are often able to see
bladder stones, cardiac
abnormalities, measure
kidney sizes and find the
locations of some tumors.
Patients requiring an ultrasound are admitted into the hospital in the morning. The doctor is able to discuss the results of the procedure with the owners during a discharge appointment later the same day.
