We are one of the few hospitals
in the Rochester area equipped
with an Endoscope. This allows
us to view and take biopsies of
the gastrointestinal tract without
major surgery. Dr. Hall receives
many referrals each year from
area hospitals for this procedure.
We have been able to retrieve
small ingested objects with this
unit and avoided exploratory surgery.
Items retrieved include coins from small terriers, needles with string attached from inquisitive cats and some laundry items from larger patients.
